The Club

The Lone Star T’s is incorporated as a non-profit association and was chartered as the “Dallas Fort Worth Chapter of the Model T Ford Club of America” (MTFCA, ) in 1977. So … what is the name of the club you ask? “Lone Star T’s” is the name of our newsletter; and when another chapter was started in Fort Worth; we commonly use ‘Lone Star T’s’ to refer to our Club, and it is a registered alias for the Club.

The Lone Star Ts is an active club, as evidenced by the long slate of officers and committee members listed in the newsletter.

Being a chartered club in good standing with the MTFCA provides benefits for our Lone Star Ts club, most important of which is liability insurance for our many club activities. Our club must maintain a percentage of MTFCA members to remain in good standing with the MTFCA. As an individual, the MTFCA provides many benefits: the outstanding Vintage Ford bi-monthly magazine and the MTFCA website which includes a forum for answering many questions regarding the Model T hobby. The MTFCA has clubs across the USA and world wide; and there are clubs for related or special interests such as the Model T Snowmobile Club, 1903-1909 Early Ford Registry, Model’s N-R-S, Tent Topped Touring T’s and speedster clubs.
